“A US NGO has begun investigating the effects of New York’s menstrual goods disclosure legislation to gauge compliance and see if the measure is encouraging ingredient transparency beyond the fourth largest US state.

The first-in-the-nation statute required manufacturers to identify menstrual product ingredients on packaging starting last month. Environmental and health advocates hope the policy has also boosted transparency outside New York.”
