…”The lowest mark a company can receive is ‘compliance’ – indicating it does not take further action to restrict or prohibit chemicals of concern other than that legally required – and the highest is ‘health first’ – signalling that a company “puts human health and the environment first”.

Of the six companies, Clorox is placed last in nearly every category outlined by WVE, including corporate chemical safety policies and transparency, and action on chemicals of high concern. It was also marked ‘compliant’ on assessing alternatives to chemicals of concern and identifying safer substitutes, as well as on industry collaboration….”
