Everyone deserves to live in a healthy and safe environment. That environment includes where you live, work, play, and pray. We reject and actively push back against racist rhetoric, actions, policies and institutional oppression that leads to state-sanctioned brutality, gun violence, and harm that again and again assaults communities, particularly communities of color. We are committed to working for justice and equity, and are in solidarity with social, racial, and environmental justice organizations to build community, understanding and honest dialogue to address the root causes of violence, harm and hate.

2011 New Years Resolution

Keep your hands clean with soap and water!

Now that it’s cold and flu season, we all know that hand-washing is a good idea to keep germs at bay. But there’s another major benefit to keeping your hands clean.

Studies have found that your hands are great at collecting toxic chemicals that are all around us, such as BPA in receipts and chemicals in other products,  and washing those hands can really reduce what ends up in your body! So lather up more often for a clean and healthy new year!

If you want to encourage children (or the child in you!) to wash their hands, check out this fun resource from the American Cleaning Institute: “Hooray for Handwashing!”
