Everyone deserves to live in a healthy and safe environment. That environment includes where you live, work, play, and pray. We reject and actively push back against racist rhetoric, actions, policies and institutional oppression that leads to state-sanctioned brutality, gun violence, and harm that again and again assaults communities, particularly communities of color. We are committed to working for justice and equity, and are in solidarity with social, racial, and environmental justice organizations to build community, understanding and honest dialogue to address the root causes of violence, harm and hate.

Penny

My name is Penny Kane and I am a proud momma bear to two beautiful daughters & two babies who are up in heaven. I never paid attention to chemicals until I decided to research why I had pregnancy complications, and why, when I was finally able to hold a baby in my arms, she was so sick and allergic to everything. When my youngest daughter presented the same problems, I knew instinctively that something unusual was happening and that I was not alone. The fire inside my belly was lit when I kept running into the same endocrine disrupting chemicals every time I tried to get to the bottom of it. I believe with every fibre of my being that these man-made chemicals are responsible for the rise in illnesses we see manifesting in our children, and also responsible for the hurt the earth is feeling. Nature is also getting sick, and out of a deep respect for my aboriginal roots, I will do anything I can to help our children & the environment get healthy again. I want to leave this playground better off than I found it. Thanks to your wonderful organization & the many other people around the world who feel the same, I believe it is already happening.
